“There’s a saying that hard skills will enable you to perform well in academia and in interviews, but it is Soft Skills that will get you the job.” Unemployment is globally regarded as a major social and economic problem. But first question that strikes to mind is whether the problem is unemployment or lack of employability? Today the industries expect new recruits to come to the corporate world with the proper balance of aptitude and attitude. They expect them to be committed, dedicated, self-disciplined, self-motivated, show high degree of learn ability and adaptability. But, On The Other Hand; The Nasscom-Mckinsey report indicates that only 25% of our engineering graduates are directly employable & The situation has not changed Significantly in the last five years. Keeping these things in mind, Institute enunciated a new step by engulfing a new subject EEP in syllabus of pre-final & final year students for all branches. The course of subject includes enriching and enhancing Life Skills, Communication Skills, Aptitude Skills, Interview & GD Skills, Presentation Skills & Public Speaking, Proper Etiquette and Personality Development. Not being part of GTU syllabus, we have taken this step to make our students trained, and get able to place themselves on-campus as well as off-campus as per current requirements of an industry; As Such Just Being Technically Sound Is Not Enough…
